The Challengers to Texas House Republicans (Part III)



In this post, we’ll look at the challengers in Texas House districts 92, 94, 102, 105, 112, 115, 134, and 150. The incumbents, challengers, and biographical information about the challengers are listed in the table below:

Evidenced by the residences of the challengers, these districts are located in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and Houston. Several challengers have electoral experience. Two of the challengers—Rodney Anderson and Matt Rinaldi—have run for Texas House seats previously. In 2010, Anderson won the district 106 seat with 49.44 percent of the vote in the general election. Rinaldi lost the primary election in 2012 with 26.59 percent of the vote. In addition, Linda Koop served eight years on the Dallas City Council.

Four of the challengers—Koop, Anderson, Patterson, and Noun—provide little information about their positions on issues. Patterson and Noun have more information on Facebook but provide little information on their positions on issues. The other six challengers provide information on their issue positions on their Web sites, which are linked in the table above.
 
I’m anxious to see the campaign contribution reports for these candidates when they’re reported.
