In this post, we’ll look at the challengers in Texas House
districts 92, 94, 102, 105, 112, 115, 134, and 150. The incumbents,
challengers, and biographical information about the challengers are listed in
the table below:

Evidenced by the residences of the challengers, these
districts are located in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and Houston. Several
challengers have electoral experience. Two of the challengers—Rodney Anderson
and Matt Rinaldi—have run for Texas House seats previously. In 2010, Anderson
won the district 106 seat with 49.44 percent of the vote in the general
election. Rinaldi lost the primary election in 2012 with 26.59 percent of the
vote. In addition, Linda Koop served eight years on the Dallas City Council.
Four of the challengers—Koop, Anderson, Patterson, and Noun—provide
little information about their positions on issues. Patterson and Noun have
more information on Facebook but provide little information on their positions
on issues. The other six challengers provide information on their issue
positions on their Web sites, which are linked in the table above.
I’m anxious to see the campaign contribution reports for
these candidates when they’re reported.
